About me

I am Nadia Ruseva, a multidisciplinary artist born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria — a Balkan woman deeply inspired by motherhood, nature, memory, and the sacred rhythms of life.
I became a mother at nineteen years old, and that experience transformed me forever. Motherhood awakened something ancient inside me — a deeper connection to intuition, creation, tenderness, and the invisible emotional worlds that live within us.
I come from a family of artists. My father, an abstract painter, was my first inspiration. As a child, I would quietly watch him paint in his atelier, fascinated by the silence, movement, and mystery of the creative process.
Throughout my life I have explored many forms of expression — painting, sculpture, theatre, music, storytelling, and jewelry making. I studied Sculpture at the National School of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Today I live near the beautiful Black Sea, surrounded by nature. The changing seasons, the sea, the wind, and the rhythms of the natural world deeply influence both my inner life and artistic practice.
My work is devoted to remembrance — remembrance of the soul, of feminine energy, of sensitivity, instinct, beauty, and the creative force that lives within every human being.
Many people did not understand my art or the path I chose. I received mixed signals from the world for many years. But life taught me this:
The artist is not born to beg for acceptance. The artist is born to serve the creative force burning inside the heart, the body, and the soul.
And so I continue to create — exploring new ways to give form to feeling, memory, and the unseen worlds living within us.
